Youngmi Hwang: Violin

Youngmi Hwang was born in Cheongju, South Korea. She is a merit scholarship recipient at Mannes College and has been studying with Nina Beilina and Ralph Evans for her Bachelor degree. Ms. Hwang attended Chungbuck Art high school in Korea, studied with Kyungwon Baek and Klim Prokhorov, and graduated as a memorable concertmaster and performer. In 2012, she was a 1st prize winner of Yehyun National Music Competition and 2nd prize of the International Young Artist Competition. In addition, she was selected as a featured soloist with the Seoul Grand Philharmonic Orchestra during the 2012-13 season. She has performed in masterclasses, and she has received honorable mentions from Professor In-Hong Cha of Wright State University, the Conductor Yuri Temirkanov, and Concertmaster Lev Klychkov of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Youngmi has performed actively as a chamber musician, soloist, and orchestra player.
