Sujin Oh: Violin
Born in South Korea in 1988, violinist Sujin Oh began to play the violin at the age of six and gave her first public recital six years later when she was twelve years old. She performed Viotti Concerto No.22 with the Gyung-buk Orchestra in December 1999. She graduated from Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School and Yonsei University in Seoul.
In 1999 she won grand prize at the Gyeong-buk Arts High School Music Competition, 1st prize at the Music Association Competition, 3rd prize at TBC Music Competition. In 2001 she won 2nd prize (No 1st Prize) at the Ye-ga Music Competition and in 2005 1st prize at the Ye-jeon Music Competition. In 2010 she won 3rd prize at the Lions International Youth Music Competition in Hong Kong, also finalist in Sydney, Australia.
Sujin had USA Tour Concert with Seoul YEGO Symphony – New York Carnegie Hall, Hawaii, and Los Angeles in 2004. In addition to appearing at numerous music festivals including the Music Alp Festival (France), the Pablo Casals Music Festival (Spain), the Tenerife Arona Music Festival (Spain) and the Seoul Spring Festival of Chamber Music (South Korea). She has performed a lot chamber music and 3 times Recitals. Sujin studied at Yonsei University in Seoul under Prof. Dong-Suk Kang and after moving to New York in 2015, she graduated her Master and Professional Studies degree at Manhattan School of Music under Prof. Nicholas Mann, also was selected as the scholarship student.
