Jiwon Ham: Ballet
Jiwon Ham began dancing in South Korea at the age of 8. She majored in ballet at the Seoul Arts High School and continued her ballet studies at Sangmyung University in Korea. She has had the opportunity to perform a variety of prominent ballet roles in classics such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, La Bayadere, and Don Quixote, to name just a few. After teaching privately for several years in South Korea, she decided to come to the United States, where she earned her Masters in Dance Education in the Professions – with a concentration in the American Ballet Theatre Ballet Pedagogy – from New York University in May of 2014. She is certified to teach American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum.
