Hernan Trevino: Trumpet

Hernan Hidalgo Treviño began his musical career on the trumpet at the age of 16 and is a first generation musician within his family. His appriciation for music has led him to study abroad in Boasnia-Herzagovina(2013) and Spain (2018).He graduated from the CUNY of Hunter College as a Music and History major to better prepare himself both musically and culturally. Studing both classical and jazz however he specilizes in the mariachi style. Hernan has accompanied famous latin artist such as Leo Dan and Pablo Monterro throughout his mariachi career. At the age of 21 he is the youngest musical director and founder of a mariachi group NYC has to offer, Mariachi Hidalgo. Hernan’s main goal is to inspire and demontrate to the youth, “que en la música no hay barreras.” “that in music there is no barriers.”

Francesca Eunhyang Choi

Francesca Eunhyang Choi – Piano

Pianist Francesca Eunhyang choi is born in 1979 dae-gu, South Korea and started to play the piano at the age 7. After meeting Russian pianist Vladimir Polyakov who studied with Gregory Sokolov, one of greatest pianist, under Prof. Morley khalfin, she studied at St-Petersburg conservatory from 2002-2005. Later studied with Pianist Nina lelchuk at Aaron Copland school of music, queens college, Cuny in New York. Since the encounter with Vladimir Polyakov and Nina lelchuk, she is strongly influenced by the musical lineage of Russian pianists. Francesca Eunhyang took lessons with prof.Morey Ritt, Choong-mo kang, Evelyn Crochet, Daniel Epstein and Irina Morozova . S She is considered a pianist who pursue her own image, philosophy, and tone of sound that she wants to express as a piano. Unlike many pianist, Francesca Eunhyang takes closet interest mechanism and setup of instruments she plays. She spend times exploring their musical characteristics, consulting and collaborating with piano technicians to achieve her ideal requirements. Her interpretation are creative and highly individual. She has appeared as piano soloist with hermitage orchestra, kapella orchestra in Russia and has performed as solist in South Korea ,Bulgaria and Austria, Russia and USA Beside concertizing, she is a great demand as a pedagogy. She held the position as adjunct professor in South Korea, the New York conservatory and a member of piano studies in Dae-gu.


Korean clarinetist, Donghyeon Choi performed nationally and internationally and has been consistently recognised for his extremely high level of musicianship and technical prowess on the clarinet.

Avid chamber music enthusiast, Mr. Choi has been selected to participate in masterclasses at Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. In addition, he is currently in the mentorship program of the Orchestra of St. Luke’s.

Donghyeon was awarded 1st Prize at the Korea Herald Music Competition, Yeongsan Music Competition, Hanyang University Music Competition, The University of Seoul Music Competition, Korea Mozart Music Competition and was also a finalist in the OSAKA International Music Competition.

Committed to serving communities, Mr. Choi has been visiting Italy, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Mongolia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and South Korea in order to share musical performances with the World Milal Missionary Choir and Orchestra. Serving as a principal clarinettist in the orchestra, he has performed at Carnegie Hall.

He has received trainings at Manhattan School of Music with Pascual Martinez and Mark Nuccio, and has earned a Professional Studies Certificate in Orchestral Performance Program at Manhattan School of Music. Mr. Choi is currently pursuing a position in New World Symphony, Civic of Chicago and Symphony in C as an assistant member.

2019 Annual Winter Concert

We’re very excited to announce our 2019 Winter Concert!

It will be held on Saturday, January 26th, 2019.

This is an excellent opportunity for your child/children to demonstrate their talents

and showcase their efforts in a large-scale performance in front of friends and families.

This festival will be a great experience for students preparing for NYSSMA or for those looking to broaden their stage exposure.
