David Pearson is a saxophonist residing in the NYC area. Trained as a modern classical performer, David has also played with numerous jazz, rap, and rock groups and currently performs in the afrotronik funk group Digital Diaspora.
David is currently pursuing a PhD in musicology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He holds an MA in music history and performance from Hunter College, where he also completed his BM. David is an instructor at Baruch College and saxophone teacher at Eastern School of Music, Art, and Dance. His saxophone teachers have included Dr. James Noyes, concerto soloist Greg Banaszak, and Kevin Burner.
