Donghee Lee: Art
Dong Hee Lee is a New York –based installation artist. She represents generative power and the mysteries of our physical and spiritual realities. She uses hot glue as her primary material, which allows her to create the abstract organic forms of webs, clusters and pouches.
She was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1978. She received a B.F.A. and M.F.A degree from Long Island University C.W. Post. Between 2013 and 2014, Dong Hee Lee took part in the Core Program, an artist residency at the ARPNY in NY.
She has had five solo exhibitions in New York and many Selected Group exhibitions. Her paintings, drawings, and large-scale installations have been exhibited in the US as well as internationally: Korea, Italy and she has received numerous reviews in the Washington Post, Times Ledger All hollow magazine in Romania, Newsis, Korea Daily News, JungAng-Iibo.
